In May 1981, a brand new radio show hit the airwaves, a live, nationwide, call-in show called Rockline. At the time, there was nothing else like it (the term "interactive radio" hadn't even been invented yet). They started out with only 30 affiliates, but several years later (a few hosts and over 1000 shows), they've added many, many more in the U.S. and Canada. They've even won several Billboard awards for best syndicated rock radio show. Imitators have come and gone, but to this day, Rockline is the show that lets the audience talk to some of the biggest names in rock 'n roll, both past and present. In January 1999, they added a second night, and can now be heard every Monday and Wednesday night at 11:30pm ET / 8:30pm PT (shows run 90 minutes in length).
